About the Author
Steve Springer, M.A., has taught for more than 20 years and has developed teacher training programs for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He has a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, focusing on teaching science through the arts. Springer is also a presenter at bilingual and new teacher conferences.
Brandy Alexander, M.F.A., is a full time classroom teacher in Los Angeles and a part-time faculty member at California State University, Los Angeles where he also serves as a master teacher for student teachers. He has a master's degree in Fine Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. Alexander also presents at new teacher conferences.
Kimberly Persiani-Becker, EdD, is an associate professor at California State University, Los Angeles in the area of Curriculum and Instruction. She received her doctorate from the University of San Francisco in international and multicultural education. Persiani-Becker is a frequent presenter at domestic and international teacher's conferences.
